Presidents Message
Pownal Development Corporation has been very successful redeveloping non-performing industrial property and environmentally impacted sites. Projects usually involve removing various stigmas and providing a vision for the asset. Our greatest successes have come from extremely challenging situations requiring innovative and resourceful effort to create asset value. Creating asset value and correctly positioning a property in the market place is something we do well. Going forward our focus will continue to be on the redevelopment of industrial and commercial property. Projects requiring an intensive effort to address complex issues such as site control, environmental challenges, delinquent taxes, or unusual marketing situations are candidates for Pownal Development Corporation. Often times these projects are long term in nature and require persistence and stamina to overcome redevelopment obstacles. Pownal Development Corporation has traditionally been an operating company providing hands-on management and operating resources to projects. It is expected that this tradition will continue and become an increasingly important aspect of the company as alliances are made with partners who depend on our management and operating expertise. Since every project is unique we do not apply a predetermined evaluation criteria. Our approach is tailored to the project. We evaluate every aspect of a project for its ability to provide an immediate return on investment as well as to create long-term value.
